An RCMP officer was conducting routine patrols in Paintearth County when they noticed smoke on the horizon.
Investigating they reported a grass fire south of Coronation on the afternoon of April 10.
The fire was located between Township Roads 350 and 360 and Range Roads 93 and 94.
According to RCMP media relations, the large grass fire started during “routine” operations at an Atco Electric facility.
Firefighters from Castor, Coronation and Veteran all responded to the scene.
There was no reports of any injuries or damages caused by the fire.
