It wasn’t the end to the season the 3C’s Coyotes hoped for, being eliminated from the provincial championships during round-robin play.

Hosted in Stettler March 29-31, the Coyotes first faced off against Sherwood Park-based SP701, who downed the team with a 3-2 final.

On March 30, the team faced off against the Calgary-based Trails West Wolves, with the game ending in a draw.

Then in game three of the round-robin, the Coyotes faced off against the Edson Sabres, with the game again resulting in a tie.

Due to championship rules, with the first loss and two ties, the Coyotes were eliminated from play.

The Sabres went on to defeat the Stettler Storm in semi-final action on March 31, before ultimately losing to the La Crete Lumberjacks in the finals with a score of 5-1.
